A hedge trimmer has been purchased. It’s really easy to use. I just need to work out the best way to catch the clippings.

And I have been working in the heat… I found myself in deepest darkest jungle with new suede gloves which seem to be good for cutting and collecting brambles.

But we tested the hedge trimmer on some overgrown bushes near the brambles. And it’s been good for the soul. Little and often could see me filling some garden bags and making some tip runs…
No Mow Summer won’t continue under my new found resolve: I am sorely tempted to make some spaces usable this year. It’s not necessarily the best time to do hard work but I’m reminding myself that the garden has all different weather. It might be scorching in the sun but the shady side is pleasantly beautiful.
