Sunday WAS Cooler…

We managed more yesterday than expected. It was hot but with a new tool – a hedge trimmer – we really attacked a lot of overgrown weeds, lawn, bushes and trees.

Everywhere undercover of unwanted plants…

The hedge trimmer has a battery that uses our existing charger, although smaller, and is a weight I can easily hold. Advice from the shop was received willingly – apparently my ability to hold the trimmer decreases with the length – so it didn’t make sense to buy the superdooper long trimmer to be able to go higher. It would just have increased my fatigue so I’d be less able to complete the task.

But No Mow Season has come to an end. But it was still probably the wrong time to Mow. Grass is looking grey. Not healthy at all. But we also need to make better decisions about the use of space in the garden. Sheds need to be replaced and so much needs taken to the tip.

Despite the ongoing issues with my replacement driving licence, I am allowed to drive while waiting for it. Checked my insurance and the insurance is also in place. No more self-enforced or inflicted driving ban. Yabadabbadoo!

Bindweed round my salvia needs gentle pulling up. The phormium out front is also being strangled by weeds. They get stronger every year.

Those lovely white trumpets are WEEDS and they are strangling the rose…
And the lady bird was determined to stay put while I unwound the bindweed…
