Easter coming up fast!

My energy levels are fairly low at the moment. Sometimes I feel guilty about it but I need to give myself a bit of a kickstart. The holiday is feeling a bit like a nonstarter despite having fewer lockdown restrictions. I’ve thought about a few things we can do but it all requires online booking which isn’t my strong point!

I’ve watered the seedlings in the greenhouse. I have a feeling I won’t know what everything will be till it’s much bigger. We have a tray from our planting day at Christmas. I still have compost and seeds. More needs to be planted.

But I saw my first fritillary by the front gate! Love love love those little flowers. They were immortalised by the Scottish architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh. And I have my friend Affy to thank for reminding me where I would first have seen them.

Dog walk to Willian Common.

We’ve also spent Good Friday catching up with relatives we haven’t seen for six months despite being less than an hour away, but we haven’t risked breaking any rules. Everyone has made sacrifices and kept as many people safe as possible. I just hope it is worth it.

Lots of tulips soon…
