“To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow”

This was actually posted into my daughters first email today about school starting again and the methods of working in these trying times. I have to say both my children are getting well supported through this, with positive advice for parents.

Lemon drizzle cake

So today involved searching out some flour and a bag being delivered by a friend. Lemon drizzle cake in the oven. As I’ve done myself some injury my gardening is of the looking and desiring kind. Although I did sign up to a gardening design course. They posted £12 for the course so hey that sounds, em, cheap. I will try it and see?

A friend did this and my girls were devastated at the idea of weekend school…
Covered grass with polythene…

Slabs have been ordered. Not sure they will be delivered but it is my hope that they will. I’ve started by covering the grass area I am putting them on with black liner, hopefully this will kill the grass off and make it easier to lay slabs on. I hope I am not going to end up doing it myself but I don’t tend to ask for help. As shown by the flour delivery, maybe I need to ask a bit more? Stay safe everyone!
