Pre-Halloween wanders

We went on an adventure to explore a new parkland established in a former quarry over the last few years. Clophill nature reserve was established around a former quarry and has become a nature reserve with lots of good intentions. There’s a cafe and lots of parking. Dogs are allowed on leads.

But autumn colours were spectacular and the water was still enough for those spectacular reflections of the scenery and autumn colours.

I think it has been a long time in fruition because it was very quiet on a seriously beautiful day and there were lots of things of interest for little people. Though the water is possibly very deep if the warning signs are anything to go by.

Next time we might take the dog as there was an area designated as a dog park and there are mounds to explore which are a medieval castle site.
