Wet and unpleasant?

I’m such a fair weather gardener. It is also tricky at the moment due to my bruising from last Thursday. I have bulbs to plant and an idea of using those chunks of logs. But kneeling is unlikely!

This piece of concrete is my first choice for stumpery pile!

But currently I’m umm-ing and ah-ing about whether to move the logs and form a stumpery along the border which has been cleared. Hubby agrees so I think I have a task. The roses have been clipped, been propped up with metal surrounds we rescued, and the logs could go in little piles around. I’ve got some weed barrier so it can be put under the logs.

Holding up the fence panel!

I’ll do a bit of twirling my gadget which turns the soil over so I don’t have solid soil in the whole area so I can plant some bulbs around them.

This border gets morning sun but is out of direct sun most of the afternoon. I’ve always felt it could be more interesting than a couple of privet bushes. And those are gone! Two Luton (big van) van loads of garden waste. The gardener stuffed it full.

I’ve just got to paint the stumps with stump killer…

This was the old greenhouse base.
