All the pile of mdf and old broken fence panels are gone. ✔️

The herb garden and the stumps of wood are cleared. ✔️

Some of the general junk is gone. ✔️

There is a clear difference between this garden tonight than the jungle I complained about last week.

Family had told me to get a gardener in: they’d been saying it for years. We’ve been here ten and have battled the same things over and over. That’s gardening for you!

But several years have gone by too quickly and we haven’t wanted to spend – or haven’t been able to spend – the time that’s been needed.

So getting someone in who loves the space and who gets on with the work has been good. I kind of know there are jobs I’ve been avoiding so it’s good when someone comes in and sees the jobs, suggests them to me and completes them.
