Planting to be cheerful…

I did one of my favourite things today: I bought some plants! I was canny in my purchases and a shopkeeper was kind when I said I was trying to cheer up my dad. She gave me a free red geranium and knocked off something for the condition of the bright purple and white daisies. I bought little Rosemary plants, lobelia and some pretty little pansies. I was told off for buying bedding but if it cheers dad up now that is half the battle…

I removed lots of dandelions and planted up the rather sad-looking wheelbarrow. It just needs a dousing if it gets too hot (even Scotland rarely hits the highs of Letchworth…)

So I’ve run round and planted in a few different places and I just need to make sure the chap who helps with the garden doesn’t think he should pull up the new ‘weeds’. Fingers crossed 🤞
