Botanics in Belfast et al

Our weekend in Belfast had a few niggles. Not least my phone running out of power (frequently) and leaving it behind at my pal’s house en route to our superb dinner in a little tapas place called Lasa.

So I went to Titanic the next day feeling a bit discombobulated but the experience was worth it. I felt all manner of emotions in the exhibit not to mention feeling claustrophobic in parts of the route which were deliberately difficult to navigate and I lost my friends just then… precisely the feelings the passengers would have felt and that is while knowing I had an escape further round, while the poor folks who perished did not. Sobering thoughts.

Our last morning we found ourselves in stunning glasshouses of the gardens by the Queen’s University and my joy of plants was given a further boost and lunch at the museum nearby.

All before my magical mystery tour of Belfast’s bus stops to find my bus out to the International Airport which was the furthest away airport I learned (10 years ago I did the same thing but my kind hosts gave me a lift to the terminus!) but didn’t remember when booking my two journey legs this time…
