We made it to see some snowdrops before they all went over! It’s about a 40 minute drive to Anglesey Abbey which is National Trust. It also has one of the biggest collections of snowdrops in the country, over 350 varieties! Who knew? I am not yet tempted to plant more in our little plot, considering the variety, and the delicate little white flowers. I wonder whether Sissinghurst has so many in its famous white garden?

Anyway the morning was hugely enjoyable and I have fulfilled some kind of step quota. We had a lovely scone in the gardens too! My hot chocolate was a bit too sickly as I have been trying so many dark chocolate versions recently.

Hope my photos do the white carpets justice!

Next year we will visit in February!
