It’s been raining for four days solid… nothing has been done in the garden really. I went into the greenhouse and there was growth.

I put the broad beans outside on Sunday planning to plant them on Monday… they got pounded by heavy rain on Thursday. I have put them into the ground now but my hopes for further growth ain’t particularly high!

It’s my birthday evening and following my early morning gifts – eldest had to get her train – we are having curry and cake! I’ve had flowers delivered so altogether a super birthday.

There are also things flowering all through the couch grass so there is great promise if I can bear the amount of culling the garden is going to throw at me. If anyone wants more inspiration, I joined the Gardeners World Facebook site and there are some amazing private gardens to see. One day I’ll make another trip to that show.
