Ivy, Ivy & ladybirds…

A short time cutting back the ivy exposed the bricks and I filled four trugs with brambles and shrubbery.

Ladybirds 🐞

It grows like crazy and snipping it encourages the growth. It’s one of my demons. Looks very romantic but it’s resilient and comes back with each prune.

It’s early autumn and I need to tidy the garden before the cold sets in. There were summer plants had come up and died back. They aren’t things I like particularly. In fact pink verbena I don’t like but the seed heads from alliums I do. They were left to dry up and the ones with little black seeds I shook over the beds.

I can only hope for more alliums. They are expensive bulbs to buy.
