Garden yearnings… or how to just sit…

Maybe I’ll employ a gardener. Oh that’s a rash statement. Or is it?

When we have constant heat I just want to sit in my egg chair. For short periods. Not indefinitely – Celtic burning skin – and the sun has been hot today. But that means I can dwell, or fret, or procrastinate at length, about the dream garden I desire.

That’s a weed: not sweet peas, but bindweed.

Projects were started, and I had all good intentions of drawing a plan and creating something special that provided me with the things I wanted to have in the future garden.

Ten years in and I still don’t have the ultimate family garden. I haven’t drawn a plan and it shows. I start things and run out of enthusiasm/motivation/funds or energy.

Brambles are everywhere!

I started a new medication (DMD/DMT) and have had five days wondering whether it is affecting me or my energy, causing a problem or wiping me out in the process or is it the same thing as everyone with MS feels at the moment in the hot summer months? It’s not been much better than most people cope in the climate-warming British climate I don’t think and I hope we will see a small change heading to the coast soon.

More on that later…

Sitting for a minute in the far end corner of the garden, I can smell cooking from a nearby garden – it could be four or five different gardens depending on the wind – and it’s seriously barbecue season here. Our fire pit has no base anymore so we will not be able to copy the neighbours, but it’s making me hungry!
