We went over to Wimpole on Thursday.

This NT property is one of our favourite places to visit. It’s only 30 minutes on a good day (and Thursday before Good Friday was good…) and although we didn’t go round the garden (tulip time numpty!) I enjoyed taking in some of the rooms. The library was actually able to be entered, possibly for the first time since we’ve visited, and it was very special indeed.

The library carpet is a reproduction to conserve the original while people can enter the library.

As we left the dog at home, this was a pleasant visit and the scones were to their usual high standard as required by oldest child…
