A first all day outing!

Hubby has to be able to cope with a normal Saturday if he’s going back to work soon, so we decided on a drive to the National Trust estate at Wimpole with the dog. The teenager took Dad and dog around the estate while I pottered about in the Walled garden.

One of the helpers said this design on my chocolate was pretty!

At all times of the year there are always loads blooms among the vegetables and I was able to take a lot of photos of flowers which as you know is one of my favourite things to do. In fact I told my other half it’s on my wish list to get another camera so I can really improve my photography and I was even talking to a random stranger about the benefits of a phone camera versus a good slr (are they still referred as that?) and I was assured that I could still use my phone and have good results.

Well you can let me know!

Heady smelling hibiscus!

We had a late lunch when the walkers returned telling me how well R behaved. She was keen to be reunited with me however trying to jump one of the walls that separated the house gardens from the sheep in the meadow.

The wall was topped with a fence to keep the sheep out of the garden.
The beds in the access road and car park were filled with these daisies
