Wild Meadow was never my Plan!

There is lots of potential in saying it’s all part of my plan which I’ve never really drawn properly. There was an early sketch which pops up in my photo feed occasionally but despite friends suggesting a wild flower meadow would be best for the bees, I wanted to build lots of patios and seated areas and I realised pretty quick my budget would never cover it (bits of our extension were never completed…) and I’ve never earned enough to complete the bits we have started.

I’ve just been interrupted by a couple of lads offering garden services, and it’s ironic that they come round when I’ve really lost all hope of managing to have a magnificent garden. The veg beds are all full of weeds and wildflowers. And there are lots of irises about to bloom.

Weeds are abundant! Clothes being snagged on sticky willow and brambles. But roses are also in full bloom reminding me of the things we liked about the garden when we looked round seven years ago but they are also a real hazard when they could form an archway without structure.

Roses are beautiful when they are pruned properly…
