Loads in Bloom!

I’m struggling with my posts to be honest. After so many blogs I have such a lot of media I think it struggles when I add more photos. We have had an extreme 24hrs since we picked up our rescue dog. She seems delighted to be here but the things we thought would be a problem aren’t proving to be.

She doesn’t leave our sides for long but is hyper vigilant for noises in the kitchen. She finds a comfortable position on the couch which means only one of us gets to join her. She is happy to lick and ‘bouf’ us at random.

She is getting through lots of apple and carrot as well as strawberries as she has been on a fruit decleanse diet for several months. But she is bony and a wee bit skinny. We might increase her food but we actually don’t know how much she eats! We will muddle on through. A big bag of hypoallergenic kibble has been bought! Frozen fruits and chicken bits have been bought.

I think she likes our unintentionally No Mow May grass so much so the lawnmower might not need to mow! She stuck her snout into the first Californian poppy and really investigated all corners of the garden even the bits we thought were of no concern at all! And she can jump! Lots we thought was out of reach is definitely in reach! It’s a funny thing about having spent an hour a week visiting, it really doesn’t enable you to know a dog. She has done things we haven’t expected and done none of the things we were warned about!

This is still a gardening blog so I will keep posting flowers x
Lots of iris are blooming!

It’s only been a day and our house is SO different. We keep getting caught all in the smallest spaces politely waiting for R to pass. She has fallen on her feet, firmly in charge and head of the household!
