My aptitude for learning new skills hasn’t disappeared – I think I have it in abundance… but am I learning the right ones?

I’ve written this blog using one platform and other blogs I’ve read along the way have gone off to different platforms. Today I realised that I couldn’t comment on the blog unless I’m a member of the alternative platform too! Well if that’s happening to me I’m more than a little miffed. I use FB to publicise a new blog or the ‘advertising’ I get from this site is only high if I’ve answered a daily blog category and they don’t always inspire me…

I’m 4 days through a course I thought I needed… and it’s set my hubby off on a rant about one of the programmes we had been asked to produce a task on. So my ability to ask him for support just disappeared. He’s going to upgrade all our ‘stuff’.

I have SO many email addresses, he said I need to close one of my oldest/most used for shopping addresses. Gulp! That sounds like a nightmare of admin stress.

But in a world of multimillion pound businesses getting hacked (M&S anyone?) I can see the issue with keeping everything the same for too long. My motto will be ‘listen to my husband’ who after all has trained to the teeth in cyber security and advises businesses on it…

But it’s my fault, I have clung onto things. I prefer Apple technology. And that might be the biggest issue of all. He says tomato and I say Apple. The passing of Steve Jobs might have repercussions for the GwL blog…

So I’ll be looking at the future admin tasks with enthusiasm!
