In September I booked a wreath-making workshop. Today was when my friend and I covered our hands in resin pulling apart branches of Christmas tree(?!) or evergreen trees that grew in our tutor’s garden.

We were supplied with dehydrated oranges, lemons and limes as well as baubles and cinnamon bundles. Velvet bows completed the look.

I think it’s easy to say I went for maximalism and my friend went cool chic. We worked pretty hard for two hours to get from straw circles and the raw materials and it was a happy room of creativity and delighted ladies wandering out with our gorgeous festive decorations.

Our tutor was enthusiastic about all the variations that were created in the back room of a local pub.
