It’s November! There was a flurry of snow this morning and I’m more concerned about a significant other’s birthday. Tomorrow.

Birthday brownies in progress! And shopping for pecans was troublesome as well as the size difference in a bar/slab of butter these days… I’ve baked for years and I always bought real butter in a foil wrapper and allowed 8oz for each slab. Today I measured the whole thing and it was 7.01 oz in the wrapper!! What a blooming fiddle! 8 divided by 2 or 4 gave easy divisions for baking but 7.01 doesn’t!

So the baking process is somewhat hampered by the uneven divisions of the butter after doing 3 times the recipe!

We are going to a silent fireworks party on Saturday so that will involve some baking as hubby usually gets a round of ‘happy birthday’ from his friends.
