Our base in Broughty Ferry means a ten minute walk or twenty minute drive to some of the best beaches in Tayside and Angus. An hour will get you to award winners in Fife and Montrose Basin.

Too many to choose the top one surely? But the local area fights hard to win prestigious bathing awards and this year it was Broughty Ferry that won.

They keep dogs off the area where the bathing is encouraged (sadly) as it can be hard to stop the lively pup from running onto these areas or leaves one family member stuck on the bench with a whimpering dog while the humans skim the water with the flattest pebbles they can find. (Sandy beaches don’t mean pebble or rock free.)

Get those shoes off and have a dip!
