There’s an awful lot of spiky stuff in all different parts of the garden and much as I try my hardest to clear them, they grow back bigger and more menacing. The front garden is in need of a flamethrower or a team of hard hats, clunky boot and strong bodysuits wearing gardeners!

It is hard writing this at a point the front garden warms up after lunch because it means my gung-ho post implies that I am going out now. I’ve spent time trying to sort indoor issues and last thing I anticipated was an afternoon in the sun. I’m too peely-wally for that!
I’m just at the planning stages! I’m planning in my head and working out how to cull/clip/cut down the ever recurring menaces.
I could see if I can take some arty shots of my least favourite menaces. And fill up some trugs in whatever parts of the garden are in shade. My oldest mentioned helping me but I am happy to go it alone, as long as the dog is kept out of my way!

But I’ve also seen new brambles about to be fruiting which is down to my early cull, and I hope they could get added to some pies. There are plums and little round yellow globes that I really need to identify before I splash out on sugars and gelling agents.
The oldest apple tree really is almost dead but it support a lovely blue clematis. We might have to dismantle it by using a support for the climber.

PS picture issues and it’s too hot today
