June might be my favourite Month of 2025!

It started well: I anticipated the problems that had plagued us last year might cause this summer to be problematic but lots of the work I’ve done over ten years living here have borne fruit. I introduced a lot of perennial plants and they are starting to feel like they are part of the garden now.

The weeds however are also perennial and I feel sad that I am still waging war with my nemeses and feel like I’m still losing the war…

The front garden has lots to love, even thing I haven’t planted, but currently there are flourishing weeds/nemeses that I struggle with. It’s also threatening to heat up so unless I become a night owl or earthworm/slug, I don’t see the problem getting stamped out.

I also haven’t planted any seeds. No vegetables or fruit will grow unless I head to a garden centre and pick up some seedlings using birthday money. But given the state of the veg beds I can’t see that happening.

I have to go to work now…
