What quality do you value most in a friend?

I’ve never really had a friend that I can pop in unannounced to. Longstanding friendships I can say I have. Friendships I can pick up on text or digitally and we make long-term plans with.

I’ve had some recent thirty-year anniversary of friendships I’ve had since my first ‘proper’ jobs. And the jobs didn’t last that long…

But I value the friendships that endure more than I can express.

Summer is also the time when friendships pick up, but the last few years haven’t seen the renewal of big gatherings like we used to have and I feel sad for that.
