Unexpected trip to A&E

This morning could have gone better.

I tripped and fell on a concrete path. An edge protruded that I didn’t see and there was nothing I could do to stop myself from falling face first. It was blooming sore and a cut on my head (from my glasses?) meant that it became visually dramatic. However I was quickly helped by loads of people and cleaned up before I called my hubby to pick me up. To take me to A&E…

And that was another four hours before they sent us away with advice for after a head injury and a cut sealed with glue which is not to be washed for five days… Keep it clean but not wet.

I have a feeling the bruises will be spectacular. On my knees, arms, hands and face.

My husband was able to pick me up and do the driving to hospital as he was working from home but he wasn’t expecting to have to rearrange his work for a mercy dash. We also hoped that we’d be seen quickly at one place over another but didn’t anticipate that an emergency would happen at the hospital he chose. But we were treated with courtesy and sympathy and humour. I face planted!

My bruises will be spectacular!

Photos will be local walks x

Iris blossoms in May. We have several colours of Iris now.

NB I wrote this yesterday and I’m having picture issues…
