I’m saying No!

The government is taking aim on people on benefits! That isn’t such a good thing when so many people with disabilities don’t have much choice about their own health and what it means for the work they are able to do.

A friend yesterday said that her benefit pays for her car without which she wouldn’t be able to get to work. So it’s actually the case that these benefits actually help people to work. And we are not talking about someone with three jobs: one job that tires her out so much she is in bed by nine during the week.

Other forum posters were hugely worried that they are going to get an income deduction, rather than a percentage increase. MSers are worried and they have registered disabilities. They’ve all had the tests to ensure they fall into the category of multiple sclerosis: they have some or all of the 90+ symptoms and have a score on the EDDS scale of disability.

I am tempted to join an Equality party but the only one currently is the Women’s Equality Party. We could all be disabled: LGBTQ+, neurodiverse, transgender, men or women.

Why does that mean the government must chase some magic money to make people work? Is it because they are too scared to go after the multi-millionaires with a wealth tax? Send someone to find Elon Musk’s lost Tesla dollars? Ok I know he isn’t British but he sells Teslas here. And it pleases me so much to see him trolled on a bus!

NB: I was going to find a Tesla meme but those cars are ugly! They offend my aesthetic sensibilities!

This is part of the yellowness of Spring!
