We have a young rescue dog and he is so full of herding breeds in his DNA it’s quite silly, but I hadn’t seen what he has done to our grass until today. I think it may mean starting over. But he’s scratched a lot of the grass up. I’ve watched him scratch after he does the toilet but after several months the grass patches are decimated.

It might mean we can eradicate the couch grass though which is an ultimate win! But I’m going to have to watch the destruction of the grass while I proceed with the shed creature decontamination. We still have a Henry and our last vacuum before hubby splashed out on a top of the range vacuum. No brands except to say Henry’s are indestructible…

But there is a load of skip quality material.
On another note dog training is actually going well and all the dogs seem to be following their owners instructions more clearly. I went for a walk and didn’t feel like I was going to be pulled over, so that is a win-win in my book. The group have an affection for T as he is a ‘real’ dog. But that doesn’t stop me yearning for a much smaller fluffy dog that doesn’t moult. Hair of the canine kind in the washing machine door seal is testament to that!
The trainer recommended a sand pit could help us to stop grass scratching but then we have to watch out for local cats using it too!
The trampoline is going to be moved to be a sculptural feature in the garden and we will be moving it soon. Ie when I work out replacing the greenhouse glass. Another job that has been put to one side in 2024… a few broken panels need replacing.
