Heartbreaking for a Book Lover!

Our book shed was a place we’ve ignored for the last year and today I strapped on a mask and bought some rubble sacks and gloves you use for tiling to stop getting cuts, and unlocked the door to devastation!

Devastation and mess and I fear the presence of things hiding under the mess! I heard constant rustles as I filled three rubble sacks and didn’t actually enter the shed…

There is a futon under there which I fear is actually now the rat nest and contributing to the light fluffy stuff by the door.

It actually needs a skip but I’m not sure where the skip will go. It’s actually a logistical nightmare because so much needs to go. There is another shed in the middle which has been left open all winter and somewhere at the back of that I am dreading the state of a half set of golf clubs… Oh dear, what a disaster! But I’m aware of its place in the current potential third world war stage of being pretty minor but major in our shrunken family situation (ie we’re all home a lot).

Small consolation but some of the books I personally worked on are still in plastic wrap but a load of others need checking to see if pages are stuck together which indicates rats urine as they’ve run across the book pile. Eek!
