We have adopted a dog who has been rescued from a Pound in Ireland. He’s quite a young dog and is a strange mix of collie and perhaps Alsatian. His pointy ears and kohl rimmed eyes make him like an Egyptian dog. His eyes are hugely expressive and we already love him to bits.

Poor soul! We know very little about him but he needs a lot of training! He has a lot of chewing ability and possibly is still teething as we’ve seen him tear a toilet roll to pieces. And he pulls the stuffing out of the dog toys we’ve had for all our dogs…

He thinks the garden contains lots of things to eat and we think he has already killed one of the rats! Hedgehogs were also a new thing to him causing much cafuffle in the small hours of the night…

I shall have to ensure he doesn’t eat anything other than grass…
