I am so fed up! I think I’ve moaned enough on here but blimey! All of the things that grow in my gardens aren’t things I’ve planted or nurture and I am heartily sick of the amount of stuff that needs destroying or taken to the tip. Given my close encounters with rats are they making huge warrens under ground and spreading the roots of the bad stuff?

I will spend the next few months deciding whether these efforts are sadly in vain, whether I give up on my Veg Up Front beds and find a new hobby! What is the answer? Do I need to cover over the garden with plastic sheet?
The back garden grass is largely wild, couch or hay! I would happily dig it all up but the environmentalists would call me names! Brambles have also become one of the biggest challenges and there’s only a short period when the fruits can be turned into puddings or jam…

We are going to see a rescued dog on the weekend and as he seemingly needs retraining (food may get stolen?) I might have to refocus on being a dog parent once more. Maybe it’s as well for my health as anything as I need to start counting steps again cos 150 isn’t really anything to be proud of…
Gardening was something I wanted to be good at but I think I need a good job so that we can pay for garden care. I think I’m throwing in a towel, metaphorically.
