It’s been a hard few days of tidying and making the garden less of a jungle. It isn’t finished but after most of a morning, it is almost clear of the worst devils of this little garden. And it looks so much bigger again!

There is an enormous builders grab bag again. Is that four or five trips to the skip by the time I fill the car on Monday? I could even decimate the other side of the buddleia if I fancied giving myself gardeners cough as I do think something in that blossom/dried up buds goes for me like an asthmatic.

Grass is awful. Lots of couch grass…normal grass doesn’t have tails! My oldest attempted to cut the longest grass but her idea to leave grass cuttings to lie on the grassy areas is not ideal when the long grass is predominantly couch! I despair of the result of accepting this ‘help’.
