A lot of plastic was thrown into a builders skip bag and lots of garden waste filled a big green waste bag. As this was helluva prickly I can confidently say it was bramble/wild roses that have thrived after the cessation of garden work at the diagnosis of cardiac issues… we were too busy going all over the places that I’ve previously discussed to establish what could/would be done to save my husband’s life. Thank god for the NHS or we’d be selling anything and everything to pay for that kind of treatment in many places…

But we have a local tip (checking for residency!?!) that I was able to fill the boot and the back seat with these enormous sacks and dispose of more stuff than I can get in our weekly collections.
Every time I took my gloves off today though, I managed to stab myself/catch on thorns and some of the wild roses had huge thorns! I won’t manage to fill much more today and truth is I’ve also been at exam training so my battery is running at almost empty. And breathe…
The reason for my frantic activity is to see if we can qualify as pet parents for another dog at the shelter in Cambridgeshire that we’ve been talking to. And the FB fury and angst I unleashed when I wrongly said I was wondering about reputable breeders??? Oh boy! Somehow all the US subscribers to X were bashing me for not adopting a stray from as far away as China!… dog ownership is complicated enough without being accused of not caring about homeless dogs.
