Scottish road trip 2024

Historically our Scottish road trips have not involved stops en route but this year we have booked accommodation en route both ways. Hubby is three months into his cardiac surgery recovery so as the only driver for the car big enough for comfortable family road trips, we are taking the trip through picturesque parts of the country with additional stops overnight.

Avoiding traffic jams was a priority!

Sadly the space usually taken up by a canine family member is also empty as our doodle was put to sleep due to highly invasive cancer two days before the holiday. This has meant an exceptionally large number of discussions about our next dog (or dogs!) to adopt… Dog rescue sites have been viewed copiously!

Our first couple of days have involved visits to Dundee and the Fife coast – Anstruther, Craill and Pittenweem- to visit family favourites and I’ve got my fix of favourites to photograph. V&A Dundee, etc!

St Monans

We visited a few beaches and managed to do garden visits so I’ll post those as the September month progresses.
