🧘🧘‍♀️🧘‍♂️ A pause… before a visit!

So my daughter wanted me to come into London for a University Open Day and we looked up a new green space and visited it before lunch (at the Welcome Institute) as it was down the back of King’s Cross Station.

It’s turning hotter and I admit it’s already been a difficult summer for me. I’ve had to pull up so much overgrown weeds I’ve lost all interest in my garden. So much I hoped to do has been lost in the inactivity of this spring. The weeds have really gone rampant and it’s ongoing before the squirrels get into the loft…

Across the canal at the bottom of the garden…

King’s Cross has changed a LOT since I worked here at the start of the century! How old does that make me sound? But there is so much to like! There were slightly fewer homeless people obvious at the hub of the area and a lot more eateries. I had a salad for lunch making me feel virtuous but the plan is to have cake when the UCL visit is over. I am waiting in the WI for collection so I thought I’d write about Camley Street Nature Park. An unbelievable lush forest and wildlife area next to and under the infrastructure of King’s Cross. Between St Pancras and King’s Cross stations and close to the Coal Yards. Quiet, peaceful and serene.
