Flurries of news reports stating new research means new cures imminent for MS. Yay! It’s been seventeen years now and every so often I’ve been bombarded with either cures I can encompass in my lifestyle by making changes to my diet, exercise or medication, or cures that eminent research bodies have published about potential cures on the horizon. It’s getting painfully close, but when can I push a final key on my MS being consigned to a medical waste bin?
The latest story behind a paywall in The Economist, not my style of reading, says they’ve made the connection again with Epstein Barre. And theconversation.com cites new evidence of infection from glandular fever making connections to glandular fever/mononucleosis generating new protein antibodies which can target proteins in the brain. It all gets a bit complicated for me here but the research continues… hey, gotta love a bit of positivity even if you can’t understand it but at least they are still chasing that elusive cure.
I might have to shake off my fatigue from my day in London, concert and late arrival by train with a bit of fresh air in the garden. That would be great if it wasn’t sneaking up to school pick-up time and a doctor appointment for my oldest.
