A bit reluctant…

I’m not going to lie! It’s been a struggle to go and do the jobs I need to do. I did an hour and a half of weeding. Mainly those yellow things but also some bleeping grass which doesn’t seem to stop growing all over.

But I spotted my first Charles Rennie Macintosh plant… ok I know my brain is forgetting stuff today but this is early! I’d like to think it means more will follow. Snakes head fritillary is the name of the lovely chequer board flowers which have bloomed again – under the washing line unfortunately – and as we can’t afford to get a contraption for clothes drying and I’m not keen on whirly gigs, a photo op means balancing on random bits of garden paths.

Yes the spring flowers are flourishing and we have mini and standard daffodils, yellow and white and fluffy.

I only went outside to hang some towels out but the new growth in a few days is astounding. Things are needing planted and if I had got more enthusiastic about the idea earlier I could have taken advantage of the extra hour till pickup from school. But I’ve been domestic, hence the clothing getting hung up. I just need to be more aware of the rain/weather this year and take advantage of the good bits.

I’ll do the digging and weeding tomorrow with my gardening clothes on! And work out what is needing evicerating (sp?) with as much as I can throw at it…
