Mud, mud, mud!

I am a bit weird for a gardener as generally I don’t feel much interest in getting muddy but dog walking means often getting out and squelching through the mud and puddles. Again, I should have taken poles which keep me stable.

Norton Common

We walked round the Common to the delight of the dog and the reflections in the puddles were superb. My trousers were muddy when we got home.

The earlier ramble round the garden at Bennington Lordship also involved squelchy mud and I didn’t linger when it started raining. I managed to miss lunch too!

Early anemone in our garden.

It’s half term next week so I might need some inspiration for things to get started in my new potting shed. I will be buying less things for planting I’m sure unless I find a replacement Wilkos/Woolworths soon. Might have to check out other supermarkets!

I think this is a Japanese-inspired statue.
