Happy 2024 folks! I have been trying to find a gardening thought which sums up my hopes for this year! We had a turbulent couple of months at the end of 2023 and it’s challenged my usual optimism. And then my replacement Woolworths has vanished! So my usual garden supplies store is no longer within walking distance…

I’ve found a potting shed on sale which will fit in my allocated shed space… so I ordered it! We are facing hefty dog bills after cancer cells were found when they removed Rs lump before Christmas… so I have to get myself gardening to fill the times in between job-hunting! We have to hope that something fits before long but I’m nothing if not cynical and optimistic in the same sentence… Hope your gardens grow well this year !

Jobs I would like that don’t have multiple applicants? Tick! Local jobs without ridiculous commutes? Tick! Not commuting into London? Tick! A reasonable salary? Tick!
