Beaches! The best of Scotland?

Lunan Bay will always be our favourite! But sadly this year all of the beaches had dead or decaying seals, birds and jellyfish! It’s global warming I believe, but sad nonetheless. We deliberately walked to the other end to try and change our perspective.

Broughty Ferry beach had been restructured to allow for rising tides! I grew up here so the improvements to the urban landscape are quite stunning!

Tentsmuir near St Andrews has always been a favourite beach but storms in the last few years have decimated the trees. so much has been done to try to reinstate the natural trees. No longer so dense but very natural layout of different trees to replace what came down and some trees left in place to try and recreate natural habitats for different creatures.

Walking our rescue dog, who we believe had never seen a beach, we had many conversations with other walkers. The ‘Nervous’ patches we got to attach to her harness were definitely a help for her. She is such a happy dog, though! And had some joyful romps with other dogs…
