Blogging from Cambridge!

Happy birthday to Me!

A trip to Cambridge and the botanical gardens… saw us wandering through fenland mock-ups and wild meadows and startling perennials. The botanical garden feels miles away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre but it is minutes away from the Grand Mall and the street market. We spent a long time in the hot houses until we hit the temperate zone which was much more bearable. It was most like outside until we realised the outside temperature had risen a lot while we were looking at the tropical plants. That’s June for you in the South East, hot and hotter.

Train there was easy and cool… Cambridge was actually quite hot but we had ice creams and plenty of beverages to keep hydrated.

My phone was decluttered! My IT guy was treating me to a day in Cambridge but he said my power ran down faster because of all the unnecessary apps I was running. We’ll see whether any of my things stop working!

I wasn’t tempted!

The train home was also undramatic – missed the commuter madness somehow – and then had an early evening tipple in the local brewery.

But finishing off the day with a curry will be perfect. I hope you like my shots from the day!
