This country needs to adapt! My autistic daughter was sitting with her tie on ready for school and wouldn’t accept that I had emailed them to say my kids were not wearing ties and blazers in 28 degree heat. An early morning email came out to say that despite them saying the opposite on Sunday, ties and blazers were not to be worn. Common sense! But it seems I was not alone in fighting this educational issue and a friend received the similar email mid morning! (Different geographic teaching system!)

But a dental appointment also threw me for six. I hadn’t taken the right kind of absence from work. I think I missed that memo! Still on a temporary contract and thinking about what to do next! I needed to recover from the ‘No fillings needed’ check up but take in the ‘small cracks’ on critical teeth scenario. Eek! No hard toffees for me! Watch out for random bits of teeth might be the way of it, for months or maybe years…

I’m not going to lie about our rescue either. She either won’t leave me alone or won’t do anything we ask of her. Training an adult dog isn’t easy either.

And then the other issue. Does anyone else struggle with headsets? The wearing of earphones with a microphone for several hours does trigger something in me. I am not finding it easy at all. I can do most things without them but have to make calls and that is another set of instructions to follow and I am not finding much of it counter intuitive. I am in a precarious mental state and I don’t know who has answers for me. The garden? Maybe.
