We had the best of home cooked food tonight and it was lovely and bright as the sun was going down. Best place to be for a barbecue and we managed to make baba ganoush, coleslaw and houmous with the barbecued chicken and minced meat skewer. A huge bowl of coleslaw and a mixed salad was a healthy addition. The sun was still hitting the table and flowers around the garden which i snapped while the last browning was underway.

A mix of garlicky dressings and coleslaw with a yogurt and mayonnaise garlic slaw made for a hearty meal! R the dog was bemused by the pile of food being eaten but she has developed a habit of following the empty plates back into the kitchen where she can reach the worktops! I’ve never had a dog this tall before! A whole new learning curve! She also loves to partake of a bowl of strawberries, which is a new health thing I believe. She was on a fruit diet for about 3 months before we brought her home to try and detox a lump on her tummy. Her diet has been more fruity than we normally eat but it’s rubbing off as our intake of apple and orange has increased exponentially. She does have citrus though, just mango and strawberries!

The Blues Brothers was the movie everyone else wanted to watch. I still haven’t watched it properly, as I started writing this blog instead!
The colours in the garden are spectacular!
